For an introduction to this blog, please read the first post here: https://argumentsagainstreligion.wordpress.com/2011/12/28/introduction/
My objective for this blog is to offer criticism and possibly stir up some debate regarding religious belief, specific theological arguments (mostly found in Christianity), and other topics pertaining to modern religious believers. I grew up in an extremely religious household, learned much about theology, went to church 2-3 times per week until college, and subsequently turned towards agnosticism (leaning to atheism) after years of struggling to “find God” and become a Christian in my 20’s and early 30’s. The more I went to church, the more I read (I voraciously read the Bible as well as books and articles with opposing or supporting views), the more I conversed with believers, the more I listened to podcasts (Timothy Keller sermons, endless strings of YouTube sermons, and countless radio programs such as the Ultimate Issues hour of the Dennis Prager Show) and audiobooks (many by theologians as well as opposing authors), my search lead me in only one direction – away from religion.
